My dream to watch a live theatre in the West End in London finally came true! (^o^)/

Watched 'We will Rock you' and 'Les Miserable'. 'We will Rock you' was a last minute decision and we bought the tickets 2 hours before the show started, it was really funny ;) but im just gonna talk about the other play in this post (sorry Jeri hehe).

I've been longing to watch Les Miserables since my 1st year in uk!

 Found a good seat online and booked the ticket a months advance.

The play was truly magnificant XD No photos allowed during the play, sorry.

But then,

 Lol, i guess i've been betraying blogger for a while.

 It's been busy and confusing lately, so many things had happened

I cut my hair again!

My unnatural curly hair had grown very long and messy, I couldn't stand any longer.

My flatmate Nano helped cutting my hair shoulder-length at first, it's pretty nice ;) but I want it shorter!

So

I went for another haircut in Jmoriyama, London last week

 and yea I love my new hairstyle ^^ I feel so light and refreshing

Macbook breakdown

 

So yesterday, went to town to get my macbook fixed. Fortunately my laptop is still under warranty.

They said, i will be getting my macbook back next week the quickest.

=,= I hope everything's gonna be okay

Im using Jeri's laptop for the time being.

And im still not feeling good.

My parents are coming in a week!

Bought a 80% discount coupon for albelli photobook from groupon d(⌒o⌒)b  

So instead of the original prices of £25, I only have to pay £5! 

Huge bargain no? ♥ ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

Here's the photo book product I received (21cm x 21cm). 

The cover looks pretty plain and simple but it's made of high-quality linen, so its good :P 

The quality of the photo printed is pretty good too. 

I get to put as much photo as I want into a total of 24 pages :) 

Except for the Japan photos, the others were all taken in 2010.

Pretty awesome yes? ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

She said she's fine, same goes to her family and her cats! 

I was told that her house is on a hill, so it was out of reach ╭(⫪∀⫪;)╮there's no water and electricity at the moment though.

It was St. Patrick's day yesterday, on the same day, some university staffs (including lecturers) went on strike over changes to pension plans. As a result, classes cancelled! Unlucky for me ╰(￣Д￣;)╮my lecturer is so rich already (or maybe passion over money?).

But....╭(◉Д◉;)╮I missed my class anyway! No no, not that I thought my class was cancelled too. I actually got mixed up with my time schedule.

The final session just started this week btw. 

So what have I been doing all day?

I finally got my chance to talk to my girls ╰( ≥ ∀ ≤ )╯
 I enjoyed it very much.

 It's been a very long time since called and chatted with my old time buddies.

 I remember those days when I used to spend hours and hours on the phone talking to my friends, guess I have become quite independent nowadays.

Actually there's too many things in my mind. 
My paranoia and negativeness have caused a great stress that leads abdominal pains. 

At times like these, 

you need those people who knows you best, 

those people who knows your real life story.

I could still feel the pain when I woke up this morning. 

Thank god Faridah was free to listen, and it works, she made me feel so much better afterwards. Thank you.

I am not the type of person who can keep her things to her self. 

Yet it's a VERY bad idea to let it go to the wrong person (which, by the way, I did)

I have a problem of being too honest, too friendly to everyone and trusting people so easily :( 

I should learn to choose my friends I can express my feelings to..... But it's so darn HARD!

Truth is, there's nothing about me my close friends don't know. 

Why Im freakin' stress now is because I'm not used to keeping the painful thought all by myself. Yet, I get so busy with uni work not wanting to waste time.

Jeri? Lol. Of course I talked to him about it :P but he always give me a reality slap instead, T,T Sigh, I know he's just saying the truth, but sometimes you need some words of comfort even though it not true.

Like when a fucking ugly girl asked "Am I really fucking ugly?", then the other person should say "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? YOU'RE FUCKING BEAUTIFUL."

I feel rather tomboy-ish today...

I guess that's what some of you were thinking when you did read my previous post and watched my vlog.

The reason why I sounded 'okay' in my vlog (atleast some of you think so) is because it was taken from 5 different video shots.

Truth is, there were many silent gaps in between and well...mumblings!

And some people who know me in person said:

It's my accent la = = It changes with the people who I talk to as well as the things that surround me. 

This is one of things I never thought I am capable of.  

Actually that has always been included in one of the Bruneian list:

4) You know you are a Bruneian if: You speak Malaysia if you meet Malaysian, speak Indonesia if you meet Indonesian.. and so on.

I was always marked as a 'non-typical Bruneian' by my friends because I don't/can't do what most Brunei people do.

So changing the accent easily is one of the things I could not do - 

 = =  I actually speak Bru-lish (Brunei English) to my Malaysian friends lol. 

Mm...........I think I should include this too

You know you are a Bruneian if: You sound very American when you are a fluent English speaker.  (even though our school teach British English, we grow up watching American TV programme)

This doesn't apply to me btw╭(⫪∀⫪;)╮

But half of my friends were thought they came from America when they speak to the people here in uk.

Like I said, I'm not good at catching accents. 

But then again
 surprise-surprise, 
I actually can! (eventhough it takes a longggggg time)

I didn't notice it at all until my friends pointed it out, 

especially when I talk to Jeri. 

Also, some of my course mates thought I was brought up in Scotland because of the way I speak to them - But that only happened when I spent a few days with them lol. 

When I go back to my Bruneian friends, everything switched off, 
and even if I tried too, I sounded so fake. 

One other thing I realised about me is that - no british/scottish accent can come out when atleast one close friend (usually asian) is with me. Lol, okay why am I even telling you all this, such useless detail 

I made the vlog just when I came back from Uni when some bits were still left on.

 I'm saying all this to clarify everything, 

see how paranoid I am now? :/ 

But other than that,

 I guess I learned something about me that I never knew,

 I can now proudly tick myself into one of the Bruneian list :P (the accent changing bit) 

But wait, does it still apply since Im a slow-catcher?

It's a series of arcade music video games and it was somewhat new to me last summer when I went to Hongkong (photo below).

I don't remember seeing one in japan eventhough it was released 2 years ago.

IT IS NOW AVAILABLE ON IPAD! XD 

And I've been playing with it during my whole free time :P I mean come on, they even have Studio Ghibli's song! (Totoro~ ♫ Totoro~♪♬)

Moving on

The macaron I ordered from Macaronique (12 for 22pounds) arrived last night. ^^

The flavours are Madagascan Vanilla, Heavenly Dark Chocolate (my  fav), Rose & Lychee, Milk Chocolate & Passion Fruit, Simply Pistachio (good very good keluar janggut) and Piquant Lemon.

Aaahhh colourful macarons, you make me happy.

But it does still makes me wonder.. 

Why are macarons that expensive ah?

*UBD - Before I went to Aberdeen, I was studying in my local University of Brunei for 2 weeks taking Bsc. Science (Major Bio, Minor Math [omg]). The course is so much harder in Brunei, and so I salute all the students who successfully graduated from ubd! 

Btw, winter holiday is coming!! ╰( ≥ ∀ ≤ )╯～♥ I'm so excited!!

Cactus Pup Day Out

The weather in Aberdeen this semester had been great 

...till winter has finally come. 

Its been windy and rainy nowadays. But I guess I just have to deal with it. I mean It's not even January yet! (For me, January is the coldest time of the year).

I ran out of contact lenses, so I ordered another set of Freshlook colourblends. 

 I usually buy Amethyst, Grey, Pure Hazel and Green colour contactlenses. 

This time I want to try something else.

Nope Sterling gray is not the same like the gray one 

Actually, I always prefer big circle lenses with dark rings. 

but its so darn expensive in UK - £49 a pair, in HK its only £9! 

So I have no choice!

 Me and my flatmates went to town today.

Its been a while since we went out together.

All because there was movie to watch

Let me tell you a story..

When my family were away to study in uk at my very young age,

my grandparents took care of me in Brunei. 

As a result, I got really attached to my mum's side of the family and kept on staying over at their place in Jerudong.  

 I used to follow my grandparents everywhere and listened to their stories. 

My grandfather had a lot of things to tell about his life. They were always so interesting.  I especially love listening to his childhood stories, life was really hard during his time. 

Back then, my world seemed to be timeless. 

At times I would spent all day sitting on my grandparent's verandah.. 

and stare into the distant field. 

And then I started to daydream....

that I would be there, walking through that long grass field.

Then I saw a boy.

It was my grandfather, as a child. 

  I went back in time...

And so I approached him.

We became best of friends. 

I showed him the latest gadgets I had, and he was so amazed. 

That time there were no such things.   

At the end of the day, I told him that, 

"Im actually your granddaughter who came from the future!

One day you will become an amazing grandfather!"

I don't remember what was his reaction. 

But one thing for sure, I knew it was something I longed for. 

I loved my grandfather so much to the point I wished we were the same age.

I would imagine about our meeting over and over again. 

Til now...

Everytime I look at the distant field, I would still remember.

..as if it really happened in the past. 

My grandfather, Haji Noorkhan... 

passed away yesterday morning.

I am devastated cause I am here in Aberdeen :'( But it is his time to go.

Semoga Allah mencucuri rahmat keatas roh Nini. Amin. 

I looked into the sky and remember all the great memories..

Funny enough, the grass field was the first thing that popped up in my mind.
