With the landslide victory of the AKP, Turkey may have just experienced its last free election. If the fundamentalist Islamic party gains a two-thirds majority in parliament, it can institute constitutional changes that will keep it in power indefinitely.
In other news, Moammar Qaddafi’s daughter Aisha has filed a complaint with the European Court in Brussels, accusing NATO of war crimes. Her charge concerns the bombing attack on Tripoli which allegedly killed her brother Seif al-Arab and three of his children.
